Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan was launched in 1994. It was inspired by Karan’s love of how Kashmir the fabric felt against her skin. In the past decade, Cashmere Mist has become a classic fragrance that is loved by women all across the globe.
In 1992, Donna Karan introduced her first signature scent. She wanted a bath and body collection that would complement this fragrance. As a result of this, the Cashmere bath and body collection was born. The products that could be found each had their own distinct soft fragrance as well as treatments that were advance to enrich hair and skin. This bath and body collection was such a success and people were in the rested in finding out where could they purchase the fragrance. As a result of this demand, Donna Karan created the Cashmere mist fragrance in 1994.
The design of the Cashmere Mist bottles was done by Donna Karan’s late husband Stephan Weiss. Why is was a sculptor and he was the one who was responsible for creating the packaging the Cashmere mist fragrance. The inspiration for these bottles was based off the shapes and curves of a woman’s back. He was also able to mold the bottle and give it to an abstract design which was done in rustic glass. This was done as a way to project refreshing nature that the Cashmere mist sent provided. The design that was used in the bottle, was also translated and used with many of the different art and body products that can be found in the collection the only difference is for each product, there is a change of texture and color.
It’s been more than 10 years since the release of the Cashmere mist perfume and it is as popular now as it was back then. The fragrance however continues to evolve and in each season, limited edition products or new fragrances that are derived from the original Cashmere mist formula are released. This will allow the Cashmere mist line of fresh starts more popular things.
